I had an amazing experience on the half-day tour. Even though it poured heavily during the monsoon season, the staff were extremely well-prepared and made the entire tour run smoothly. The experience is truly worth every bit of your money 💯😊 What I appreciated most is that this place is genuinely elephant-focused. Their priority is animal care, and they are committed to educating visitors about the importance of elephants to Thai culture and local communities. They also openly share information about Thailand’s BAN on using elephants for logging, entertainment, and rides, which shows their strong commitment to ethical care. They even plan to open the first dedicated elephant clinic in the future. 🫶🐘 Spoiler Alert: The tour began with an introduction to the sanctuary and the elephants, followed by preparing food for them and getting the chance to feed them. We then walked into the jungle to see their natural habitat with our guide, and even enjoyed splashing water on the elephants. Overall, it was an unforgettable, meaningful experience made even better by the incredible staff who truly love and respect the elephants. 🐘🐘🐘

I had an incredible experience at Samui Elephant Home! Our guide Angie was fantastic; her knowledge and passion for the elephants truly made the visit special. We even had a blast catapulting pumpkin seeds into the jungle to help grow food for the elephants, which was such a fun and unique activity! The on-site museum was excellent and filled with informative exhibits, learned so much about these amazing creatures. It was heartwarming to see the elephants looking so happy and calm; you can tell they’re well cared for. This place is a great example of ethical tourism, and I wholeheartedly recommend visiting!

We had a magical time here at Samui Elephant Home. Staff were amazing. They seem really care about the Elephants and made us feel welcome. They put the Elephants safety and health first. So much fun feeding them and walking with them. Highly recommend!

wonderful experience. everything about it was fabulous.

Elephant Home was an amazing and unforgettable adventure for us as a couple. We had the opportunity to see how the nine elephants, rescued from difficult pasts, now live a loving and free life on site. The people there take wonderful care of the elephants with great dedication and compassion, and you can truly see how happy and content the animals are. Overall, I can highly recommend Elephant Home to anyone who wants to do something good and experience a respectful and authentic encounter with elephants. Visiting supports the amazing team and helps ensure that the elephants can continue to enjoy their beautiful lives.

Noi, the guide is so passionate about caring for the elephants, you could see the emotion in her as she spoke about them and their history and how they’re looked after now. It was such a lovely experience and so refreshing to be in an environment where the staff are all so focussed on the wellbeing of the elephants and protecting them so they are at peace and are well looked after. We really enjoyed that it was an interactive tour where we made the protein balls for the elephants to eat and when they had run out the staff kept topping our food supply for the elephants and taking lots of photos of us on our phones whilst feeding them. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience and I think it’s definitely worth the price!

From start to finish it was fantastic, it was fun as well as educational and the lady( forgotten her name unfortunately) explaining everything was exceptional, you could see she loved the elephants.. we were able to make the food then feed it to the elephants and stroke them while having pics with them which I was so excited about (I’m a 57 year old woman.. lol) Even though it was a short visit, it never felt rushed in any way. We got to meet the elephants individual carers who were called mahouts. We even got a hug from the lady when we were leaving thanking us for supporting their elephant home .I would definitely recommend this trip, it was my favourite trip I’ve ever been on .

Wonderful, the guide was so connected to the elephants and imparted so much knowledge about their life history, behaviour and diet and her love for the elephants shone through. All the staff were very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend. An amazing experience thank you

The tour was incredible, and we were so happy to see a company that takes such great pride in treating these gentle giants with the compassion and care they deserve. The true standout of our visit was our tour guide (I wish I could remember her name!). It was clear how deeply she loves these elephants—so much so that she became emotional during her overview of their lives and the background of the Elephant Home Nursery. Her passion was contagious and moved me to tears as well. If I ever know of anyone traveling to Koh Samui, this experience will be at the very top of my recommendations list!

My kids and I did the Half Day Tour yesterday and we absolutely loved it! Katie, one of the guides, was excellent at explaining how this sanctuary is ethical. You could see how much they care and love these elephants that have been rescued. We got to make supplemental food and feed the elephants. All in all it was an excellent tour and one I’d recommend to everyone who is interested in learning a little about elephants. When booking, if your hotel is not on the pickup list, you can ask your reception at resort to call and ask for your hotel pickup (make sure to note it in your bookings when you book). They would be more than happy to pick you up at your unlisted resort. How to prepare: - Small day pack - Recommend you put bug spray/sunscreen before you arrive as the harsh chemicals can harm the elephants - Comfortable walking shoes/sandals - Shorts (it was a semi hot day for us) and maybe rain gear. It did rain on and off when we went. - Pay attention to their rules and follow them. They’re set in place to protect both elephant and you (that includes reigning in small children who don’t have boundaries) - They give you tea, coffee, juices and lunch/dinner (however you want to call it) that was delicious and simple. - An enthusiastic mindset to learn. Enjoy!
